Really wanted to (for practicality as well) but had already booked Snetterton when I found out about it unfortunately. Will definitely go next time, though!

Yes mate, I've paid an extra £10 for a passenger. I'm sure you can pay on the day. My main concern is now the weather!

Aww thanks matesmile

You looked to be going very nicely in your vidsmile could you use full throttle most of the time? Love the sound of that high revving motor!! I've had such a soft spot for the Elise since I first saw one all those years ago.. Being big and fat I just don't understand why they couldn't have made it with a bit more head and shoulder room frown
LOL I went to the caterham factory to try their 'big boned' version and it was a joke!... If i'd rolled it my head would have acted ike a roll bar..

Couldn't use full throttle apart from for a few seconds on the straight bits. The added problem was a pair of very low rear Toyo R1R's and rear set up which were too hard for the wet. We're planning on going back there in the summer so we can exploit the gripsmile

The sound of the car is fantastic, alot of induction noise mind you. I agree, that you're probably way too tall to enjoy using an Elise or Caterham comfortably. Shame, as they're such fun:up

ahh didn't think sosmile

you ever get any times round brands in your Elise?

I remember watching Andy Walsh @ carlimits drive a 1.8 turbo elise round the handling circuit and i think it did 55 secs or something.. nearly 5 secs quicker than anything else on the day!!!

Your right about the size thing.. it's not fairfrown

Walshy's quicker than a 55 sec round Brands, expecially in the LOT trophy series. He used to drive a supercharged Honda Elise, but then went down to specially made Honda N/A engine for the last race he did some 18 months agao.

We're considering 18th June to go back to Lydden, so will let you know if we book.

I meant at north weald lol! Gugliami (nothing like the right spelling!) was running low 50's if not high 40's round brands in an elise at a time attack event i watched..
