Self and several mates went to this event on Saturday and had a great time; four drivers plus two passengers, one car!
It was a bit crowded 'cos we'd been double-booked with an autitest so we couldn't use the normal car park. Still at least we had something to watch in between sessions and they weren't using the circuit so that was relatively quiet.
It was really wet at the beginning due to overnight rain; I spun four times in my first session. We were told that as it started to dry out it would get worse, which it promptly did. After lunch however when it was completely dry it was great. I had a 15-minute session with the instructor at 4, then managed to squeeze in a few solo laps right at the end. Fantastic, just me, the car, and a bone-dry track!
One of my colleagues blotted his copybook by being the only spinner to hit something! Just grazed the barrier, nothing serious:

Note the grass all over the car; there's even more inside!

This is the only part that needs replacing. We didn't even lose the MX-5 badge - it was found inside the light!

After a bit of panel beating and spraying this morning it's looking more like its old self, but Neil says he wants to replace the bootlid. Don't see the point personally, battle scars are part of the trackdog image.
