Hi guys, looking to get my MK2 Golf on track in march and started looking for tyres, r888's would be my first choice having run them before on numerous occassions however these Federal RSR's look half decent, how do they compare to R888's and the like in the dry?

Federal's are 99% as good as 888's in the dry (A couple of tenths per lap) and miles better in the wet.

They last longer than 888's and are cheaper

I supply them, Give me a call for a quote

What's you best price on 4 x 225/40/18 or 235 if they are easier to source.

Cheers

I supply the RS-R too and really rate them for the money. I also do the Sliverstone FTZ RR which are the best in an independant survey.

What a surprise - a Federal stockist claiming they're the most awesome tyre ever.

I'm not that daft lol but would be interested in a price. Most reviews say they are good.

They are without doubt better value than 888's. All reviews and feedback from customers supports this.

That's not far off 888 prices. I thought their would of been more of a difference.

Let us know how you get on with the tyres, I've got R888s at the moment but will probably have to change them this year - I am considering the RS-Rs.

I have a set arriving tomorrow. Then it's off to the Ring and Spa at the end of the month so I will have a better idea of how they performed and will report back.

Previously used 888's, Cups, slicks so I should have a good idea of where they stand against the others.
