MSV novice day
Discussion
Hi guys,
I've never been on a track day before so when I saw this sort of day advertised it got me a bit more interested. My local event would end up being Abingdon but I thought going to Bedford as a novice would help me with confidence and suchlike. Has anyone had any experience of this type of event and is it worth doing, or is it just a different way of selling a track day and I'd be better off going to a normal one anyway?

My son and I started out doing an MSV novice day at Snetterton. They're a great TDO and offer a good introduction to the 'hobby'.
I think the sessioned approach works well for novices as it forces both the driver and vehicle to take 'down-time' and recover/reflect, rather than letting human eagerness possibly (depends on your car) exceed the mechanical capability)

My first and only trackday was one of these at Brands. It was excellent and well run. Hoping to do another one soon and will look at either Bedford or Brands again. I'm quite sure not everyone there was on their first trackday despite what they claim!
