This link as made me think twice about Trackdays
Discussion
Chaps,
I was watching a video of a poor Gallardo getting the crap beaten out of it in China (I'm sure we've all seen that sickening video) then click on this link by accident!
It made me think twice about trackdays, may be a novice driver like me is better off with a banger, like an MX5 mk1?

Surely its mostly down to the driver? If people are pushing it a 10/10ths then things like this will happen. How many trackdays have you heard of this happening in the UK?
Also, a Diablo is rather powerful and probably easy to get wrong if you are a novice driver, or even experienced to be honest.
I'm not saying accidents wont happen when not pushing it at 10/10ths but you have to say, the amount of happy trackday go'ers on here is probably a good testament to the fact that its a very small percentage that end like this.

Blimey man up !
it's part of the risk, most are insured anyway.
You either beleive in your driving skill/car control and don't push beyond your limits on track or just don't go on a trackday ......... simples.
You just reminded me Wacko - I am booking my trackday tonight! I now have the go ahead it's part of the risk, most are insured anyway.
