NurburgringUK aren't a track day organiser. They sell spaces on trackdays.de half days, in the same way that trackdays.co.uk sell spaces on my Destination Nürburgring events.
It's worth knowing as most of the German organisers require third party insurance cover on their track days.
Check who your dealing with.

again, in this instance, a reseller for trackdays.de rather than a TDO.gtdc said:
If it was me I'd book with Bookatrack or RMA. Both pukka UK based organisers and both run a good event.
I prefer to deal direct with the organiser, not go through a reseller.

Unfortunately neither BaT nor RMA seem to have Nordschleife dates this year. I would (and am) go with DN.I prefer to deal direct with the organiser, not go through a reseller.

Hi!
Resellers are fine, as long as you know and understand what it is you're booking. I deal with lots of resellers in Germany and ensure that they in turn communicate the terms of the event to their customers.
As I mentioned - some of the German TDO's run their events with a third party insurance requirement. In many instances German road car insurance covers these drivers, as the German TDO's are running 'driver training' events - not track days as you and I would imagine here in the UK.
If a UK driver happens to unwittingly book onto an event such as this, and have an issue with colliding with another car, they may be held financially liable by the other party's insurance company and expected to pay for their damage. I don't fancy that kind of conversation with my insurers - would you?

Do you allow racing cars and slicks on your Nurburgring TDs?Resellers are fine, as long as you know and understand what it is you're booking. I deal with lots of resellers in Germany and ensure that they in turn communicate the terms of the event to their customers.

Would love to especially as you have ATDO cover but novice drivers in road legal road cars and amateur racing drivers driving stripped out rockets with slicks on around the Nurburgring at the same time does worry me.
Maybe I am getting old.

Is this not the case at EVERY trackday? A mixture of abilites has to be expected....and the car generally has little to do with how quick its going.GreigM said:

agree, though the closing speeds of a novice in a Chim and a experienced quick driver in a Racing Tuscan can be
even more so at the Ring I would think, like I said maybe I am getting old.

Personally I think racers on slicks are far safer to share a track with than some spotty oik in a chavved up sMaybe I am getting old.
