Apprenticeship help in south west

Having a right stressful time just trying to get an apprenticeship down in south west, mainly around westbury.

Basically I'd like to get one in either mechanic's, respraying and bodywork.
Wanted to join forces in engineer but can't as a knee injury, so now 19 and looking around.

Any help would be great, as ph-ers may know a few places.

Have you tried applying to any of the manufacturers apprenticeship schemes?

They tend to then look for placements for you within that manufacturers dealer network - the Mazda academy definitely do this, and the guys that run this scheme also run it for other manufacturers too

Have you approached the main VW garage on the trading estate as I think they have their own bodyshop?
Or the Peugeot Oval garage as I think they also have their own bodyshop?
I think you will be lucky to find anything with an independant bodyshop due to a lot of them closing down (caused by high excess policies mostly)

If you have transport it will help you with a wider search area, but good luck with your search.

Yer I've been to vw and when back to see but they sad they arête taking anyone on, I know this aswell as 2 placements were given to my friends last year.
I've been to oval too, the guy there said he wants to get a apprentice but still wait for the come back from headquarters
