lack of a contract
Discussion
Long story short, about 4 months ago I was finally made permanent with the company I'm working for, I've had this confirmed in emails that have been sent and kept them as a record, strangely I'm still waiting for my contract with my terms and conditions, benefits, pay, holiday. I've chased this several times with the hr rep for out operating unit but it hasn't seemed to help! Have you guys got any ideas how I can hurry this along as I'd like some holiday as I haven't had any time off since november last year and I'm still on temporary pay which is much less than full time employees get!
I must seem massively pushy (I'm chasing once a week), but to me its taking the piss a little bit!

Been at my place 2 years, and no contract was ever placed under my nose, recruitment agency asked for one and were told (they are all being reviewed, be done soon.
All i have ever signed to work here is my bank details for payment from company.
i am not sure of the legality of all this, but i am not the only one in this position here, no idea what it means to any notice period etc?

Well I assume it would be as the temp contract, which for my company is a weeks notice! I'm also only working my temp contract hours and charging overtime for everything over, 39hrs a week over 5 days currently working about 70hrs! Which is helping the pay deficit, just doesn't help when your trying to save for a house and nicer car etc
You have a statutory entitlement to receive a statement of particulars of employment. This is not necessarily the same as a written contract.
Your statutory entitlement to paid holiday arises regardless of the existence of a written contract.
