Job resignation whilst company is in administration ??
Discussion
Evening,
Just a quick one here, the company that I work for has recently gone into administration and we have been told that we will be paid into the foreseeable future with a guarantee of this months pay. We have also been told that the administrators are looking for new buyers but there is no certainty of the company's future. With this in mind I have been out looking for a new career direction, and I have been fortunate enough to find just that! I have been offered a position and have been asked to start Monday next week! This is a great chance for me to move forward and I do not want to miss out. With this in mind what would be my legal obligations if I were to decide to leave at the end of the month i.e give my notice in on the day I leave. I will not be looking for any references from this company in the future so leaving it this way does not concern me.
All information is welcome!
Regards,

AFAIK the company is in administration - but your contract of employment remains in effect until the administrators act otherwise.
Perhaps a quiet word with someone from HR first (perhaps under the guise of voluntary redundancy)? Under the circumstances they may let you go at short notice - unless you're a director or other such senior.
