Motor Trade - Help needed

Anybody work in the motor trade? I need some help.

I've been racking my brains looking for a piece of software to help monitor VHC's. I need something to help track advised work. i.e - Brake pads 40% life remaining, not upsold on the day but require checking again in X amount of days.

When previously working at a Volvo dealership, we used said program and it helped us with reminders to book customers in for work we'd advised at previous visits. With our workshop being quiet I need to look at any way of helping us get customers back and a computer program seems more effective than a paper based filing system.

Anybody understand the above and use something similar

Pinnacle had a calender function so you can set a reminder against a customer but it's pricey and glitchy

how about just using the outlook calender? setting a reminder with name, reg and why you are going to call?

This would be a function option of the DMS like Kerridge or Kalamazoo would it not?

Seems to be the future. I've used PDA and desktop computer variants.

Hi. Not sure if its what you are looking for but there is a programme called "Workshop Manager" you'll have to search google or a goo place for free software that might do the same thing would be www.download.com

What DMS do you use....
