Jobs in commodity trading firms?

Please could you give me some pointers about finding a job trading commodities? Where to look, who to ask etc?
Although I have a business management degree from a good university, its a 2.2 rather than 2.1 which seems to mean all the grad schemes are out of the question. The university wont allow me to resit a year, and getting funding for a masters is difficult. Not a problem, I'll happily enter at a lower level and work my way up, but trying to find these jobs is not easy, and all my speculative emails have so far drawn a blank. Agricultural commodities is something I'm really passionate about, having been involved in the production side for 10 years (I worked on farms during school, university and more recently while travelling abroad). Farm work itself is not somewhere I see myself in another 10 years, but equally I dont want to lose contact with the industry. Ideally I'm looking to combine (excuse the pun!) my love of farming with my interest in markets and trading, and the way I want to do it is by working in the City, or other financial district in the world, trading commodities.
I know this is a long shot, but if anyone knows of any junior openings in a commodity firm, not only agricultural commodities, but energy, metals or whatever just to get my foot in the door, it would be most appreciated.
Just seen that the discussion in the graduate thread has turned towards commodity trading - honestly I didnt see that before putting this thread up!!

Commodity trading is all about knowledge and getting the edge on the market by acquiring knowledge that others don't have. You say you have experience in the production side of soft commodities - if I were you I would put together a paper on your current trading strategies with your reasons behind them, drawing on your experience that people sitting in an office won't have. Get this in front of as many traders as you can with a covering letter.
