Not getting paid on time!

Evening all, wouldn't normally do this but here goes!

Basically I work a good full time 40 hour week and on a weekly pay check, now over the past few weeks mine and my fellow colleagues have been having to wait until around 6 or 7 in the evening of our pay day to get paid. This has been ongoing over about 3 weeks now, each time getting later.

The problem is tonight, my pay has not gone in at all! Yet my other colleagues pay has gone in! Even the guys with the same bank as mine! Now my contract states I should be getting paid every Friday before 6pm, well I doubt I'm even going to get paid now until I get back into work on Monday as there is no one to speak to at payroll ( company office only operates Monday to Friday 8 - 6! ).

So it is pretty much going against my contract and therefore breaching it, not to mention the stress of not now being able to pay my rent, car insurance and other expenditures, is there anything legal I should be looking into?

I feel sick not having a consistent routine to my wages going in at a regular time on the correct pay day! :/ my previous jobs always went in over night on the actual payday itself!

Any help and advice would be sound.

Speak to them tomorrow. Your employer would usually cover any bank charges etc incurred as a result of their late paying, even if not directly their fault.

it could be an innocent error. However, I would communicate your anxiety about the lack of confidence you have to your boss to see if anything can be done to alleviate it.
