No notice period in contract

On a short term contract due to finish in december, but looking over it at the weekend noticed there are no notice period listed (should have read it more closely on signing). So what is the score with trying to leave? Am I stuck here for the duration or is it by negotiation with the client? (for info I am as a Ltd company through an agency)

What does the contract say about how it can be terminated?

Statutory minimums will apply. IIRC that's 1 week from a month's service up to two years.

Only a mention of instant termination for gross missconduct, not tur.ing up for 10 working days or if my company is in administration

So it looks like you dont have a get out clause with out pissing off the client which is not good. Best bet is to try and negotiate or apply for a change of contract with the agency.

The two most important things to check are what your limit of liability is and what's the escape route. I usually negotiate in that the contract can be terminated by mutual consent.
