TUPE- is it meant to be this cr@p?

It’s just a vent really- the company I work for recently lost the contract and I am one of the ‘lucky’ ones who (out of a management team of 5) are moving over to a part of the new company whose contract starts on the 1st June on a 3 years plus 2 basis.
Our HR have been particularly poor, that said the other companies isn’t much better bearing in mind that I had my first meeting with the ‘new’ HR team over 2 weeks ago in which they said that my role doesn’t exist in the new company but there is something similar that I can do and that they would get a job description over to me- I’ve asked several times for HR’s written notes to this meeting as they initially said that if I didn’t take the job I wouldn’t get any form of redundancy.
So, it’s the 22nd today, my role finishes on the 31st and I have still not had anything in writing to say where I will be working or what I will be doing on the 1st June....
The new role ‘will’ involve working in another location as well, for example I may have been based in Gatwick, but now will be based in LHR- it’s not a massive increase in miles, but in terms of hours spent on the M25 now it’s going to increase my journey time each day by a couple of hours..
Don’t get me wrong I’m glad in the current climate I’m not facing automatic redundancy like so many of my colleagues at the end of the month but this level of uncertainty is really beginning to get me down..
