Interview feedback - What does this mean?
Discussion
Hi
Attended a group interview/task for a Recruitment Consultant role yesterday, where we were given the task of securing our individual 'candidate' the biggest chunk of a award fund of €8k
I managed to secure my guy €2k, which was the highest amount, in general I think I performed well.
I received my feed back today but what does this mean:
'Thanks you for taking the time yesterday, you did well in the exercise. You are very salesy and I would recommend a role in sales and if you do venture into recruitment a role in the business development side. I am passing your details to our sales and marketing team if you don’t mind and they will be in touch today'
This is what has me confused:
'I would recommend a role in sales and if you do venture into recruitment a role in the business development side'
I have been in sales for just over 5 years now and I interviewed for a recruitment role.
What should I take from this?

Business development sounds like sales cold-calling. The standard of English leads me to think that they are the sort of person who has no qualifications and got a job with a suit and instantly thinks they are a "senior executive". Put them in a white coat and give them three days training in the application of nail polish and they would be a scientist too.
