Short term pub management couple - Salary?
Discussion
Any one on here manage pubs? We've been asked to interim manage a pub. Short term contract, maybe 3 months, until the owners get themselves organised. Can someone give us an idea as to how much temporary fill in managers get for this kind of work? We've had our own pubs before and have personal licences etc. Job is 'live in', not that we need it but it's part of the arrangement for security reasons, so it's not like the accommodation is a 'benefit' to us, more a benefit to the owners. Privately owned dales freehouse, not pubco. Thanks.

As you will know from owning your own pub before, salary is usually based on turnover, profit, location, complexity of role (food/events etc) and staff numbers. Without knowing this, quite difficult to guesstimate. If you're being invited to pitch for the work, then from your previous experience, make an offer and gauge reaction and adjust accordingly.
