Is this a disciplinary offence?

I am hoping that someone maybe able to offer some advice:
A colleague of my wife posted on FB saying shes looking for another job. Not the greatest decision as most people from her office are listed as friends.
She has been told she has meeting on Monday afternoon with her boss and the office manager, but has been given no further details.
1. Is this a disciplinary offence?
2. Given that she hasn't actually said anything negative about the work place (other than shes seeking altenative employment) what action could be taken?
3. If the meeting turns out to be a disciplinary should be have notified in advance in writing?
I think they're just going to ask her why shes unhappy, but she is understandably nervous.
Any advice or guidance is gratefully recieved.

Not 100% sure what you mean, but she basically put on FB that she was looking for another job and had an interview planned. I am not her friend on FB so can only go on what the wife showed me a couple of days ago.What she's done is stupid, but probably doesn't constitute any form of misconduct. The company can't stop her looking for a new job, and they can't stop her telling people she's looking for a new job. If she'd said "I'm looking for a new job as Acme Co. are a bunch of theiving charlatans" then that would be a different matter.
If she has said *anything* derogatory, there's trouble ahead.
If she simply stated that she is looking for a job, and she's highly valued there, they may want to knwo why.
Either way, REALLY STUPID thing to post on FB, and I wouldn't be especially impressed with any employee that did that.

Could be a positive thing then, if they don't want her to leave they will probably offer her more money.
I wouldn't say its stupid to post things like this on facebook, expecially if you may have a number of friends that may be able to help you find a new position.
What is bad practice is if to befriend anyone you currently work with that cannot be trusted to keep their mouth shut when you post a rant about work or that you are planning on leaving. HR or managers for example

Facebook strikes again. People never learn do they.
It is most likely that the chat is to see why she wants to leave. No company can discipline you for saying you are looking for another job, as long as there were no derogatory comments about the company or staff (and the post wasn't made during working hours if the company policy forbids it).
I note that she has an interview, I hope she has booked holiday to attend it and not time off for a hospital appointment, funeral etc!

As above, Facebook is bad news when you have work colleagues as 'friends'.
I have no contact with anybody at work or associated with work as a 'friend', I also have my profile information set to hidden.
