Now, a little while back I posted in Business that I wanted a recommendation for a website designer. Whilst that yielded some results, I wasn't entirely happy with the company I contacted. I felt that I was being taken 'for a bit of a mug' because I know nothing about web design, flash stuff, email forwarding, etc. Basically everything I asked was met with requests for more money.

Now, please understand I am more than prepared to pay the going rate, but really would like someone to take my website, redesign it and freshen it up and host it. I also need another website designing from scratch afterwards. I don't want to lose our top position in the search results, but was concerned that the web company were indicating that I might for a few weeks.

So, anyone want what I would consider a fairly easy job for a bit of cash? PM if so.

Thanks. If there is anything else you would like to know, just ask. I'm sure I've probably left something vital out. My current webmaster is giving up web design, so that is a no go area.

I know I got quotes that varied hugely. Whilst I haven't the faintest idea how to do it myself doesn't mean that I don't know it's a simple 'bread and butter' job.

I don't know how to change a clutch on my Peugeot, but I know it's not a three minute job, nor a three day one.

Without knowing the specifics of the job, why would that interest you?

I just want someone I can trust to do a fair job at a fair price. What is your point?
