Tax code on Xmas temp job, already work full time

I've taken on a job for 2 weeks in the evenings and weekend, I already work full time. Any ideas how I go about this in regards to making sure I don't pay too much tax? My full time employers need not do anything if I'm right?

You should fill in a p46 for the part time job, tick box c. You will be given tax code BR.

full time employers don't need to know.

Make sure, when you get your first payslip, that the tax calculated works out at a straight 20% of your Gross Wage.

I am assumimg that the two salaries combined won't pitch you into the higher rate tax bracket.

Quick question.... do I have to do anything with the P45 they sent me? Bearing in mind my full time job do not know I had an xmas temp job (I don't need to tell them)

All you need to do is keep it safely as a record of your income for the curent tax year.

You don't have to notify anyone about the part time job. The part time employer will have notified HMRC that you have left by submitting their copy (now electronic) of the P45 they gave you.
