Anyone made the change - white boats to O&G?
Discussion
Is there anyone in O&G recruiting here who can tell me if I have a chance in hell of being hired with a white boat/yacht CV and no DP/drill ship engineering experience? Am I wasting my time or have people made the jump before?
Full commercial tickets and 12 years in the industry for what it's worth. Or am I mad to even consider leaving the cushy sun-soaked gin palaces for a cold wet north sea?
Cheers!

Not sure what your tickets are exactly, or what you would require for O&G but assuming you have been doing cruise nd or small charter your best bet would be to get supply boat/tug tickets.Full commercial tickets and 12 years in the industry for what it's worth. There is plenty of demand for that in the warmer climes.
