There are plenty of jobs out there, will you have a basic licence or will you have the experience and other requirements to apply for a type?

Trouble is, I will only have 6 months experience by the end of my apprenticeship. I've looked on aviation job search, but they all require experience and/or a valid license. I'd rather like somewhere to get A bit of experience or validate my license. Its B1.1 I've done, but I'd be open to converting to 1.3 if the role was there
145 experience really is key. I'm guessing you'll have to apply for fitter roles and then really push to get on a type course, gain a type rating and then hope an engineers position becomes available.

The B1.3 world is pretty volatile. I know there are openings in Aberdeen and if you look on the Bristow site they are already recruiting for engineers for their new SAR contract.

its the getting established that im struggling with! i thought there'd be plenty of people interested in a 20 year old who will be licensed within 2 years, but im struggling to find anything anywhere. a few friends have an interview building wings up at filton, but i've heard the practical interview is a bit tough, and the job isnt too exciting. the money is certainly appealing though
