Failure to Pay

Morning PH'ers
Hoping you can give me a helping hand here. I was dismissed from my previous job on the 2nd April this year, and as expected, recieved a letter noting the disciplinary, and the details and follow actions from my Manager. It covers when I will be paid my notice and monies owed, and thats its my formal notice.
Paragraph 8 reads;
'The company will make a payment to you in liew of notice and all outstanding commission. You will also receive payment in respect of any holidays which you have accrued but not taken. All pay owing to you will be paid on 19th April 2013. Your payslip and P45 will be sent to you shortly after this date'
Today if im correct is the 19th April, and suprise suprise, no monies. I spoke to the accounts team this morning, and they have been instructed to pay me on the 22nd. I have pointed the letter out to them, which they have no copy of telling them it clearly states the 19th for me.
Now, I could not speak to the manager on the phone, but have e-mailed him, and am awaiting a reply.
Is it fair to expect to be paid today, or could I consider that if the letter is not factual in those details, that my notice also hasnt been given, and that they should therefore re issue my notice?

Honestly ?
On a Friday, at 12:30, with a commitment they will pay you Monday. I would give them the benefit of the doubt.
I can't see that chasing them hard all afternoon is going to change the result, an anyway - what loss or harm can you show ?
Perhaps drop a note to HR letting them know you haven't been paid, but that expect the outstanding money on Monday.
BTW it is never as much as you think it will be .....

Confirmed payment on Monday.
Company car has to returned first, despite my notice saying I have it until the 3rd May. Typical eh
It should be exactly what im expecting, I have an email from accounts telling me everything, detailed down ot the last penny!! Lets hope they are true to their word.
