Offshore wind turbine technician contacts?

Hi, I am a 23 year old looking to break into a career as a offshore wind turbine technician. I am currently saving for my siemans 2-3 and should have this complete within next month. I am just looking before I invest this money to see if there are any contacts out there that may be recruiting in the near future if I had this cert. I have a 2 years experience as a mechanic and am interested in this field as enjoy working away in my current job as a furniture installer so was looking to combine the 2 and earn a little extra money in the process. I have a cv available on request and any info or contacts to help get me up and running in this field would be great. Thanks all. Les

You could look at 3rd party contractors, such as Global Wind Service, or Dawson. Don't know if any ar recruiting at the moment, there is a whole thread on wind jobs somewhere if you search.

Just like offshore oil and gas, there is some misconception that doing a course will get you a job, but sound experience in an M&E background is much more important.

Competition is tough though, good luck.
