Minotaur Racing is looking to fill a number of positions in their new and busy motorsport team:
Senior Mechanic/Workshop Manager
Junior Mechanic
Fabricator/Welder
Junior .Net programmer/Web Designer
Senior Mechanic/Workshop Manager

This is a challenging hands-on position for an experienced, self-driven and motivated individual, who will be responsible for the smooth running of the entire workshop. The role will predominately involve hands on work to develop and manage the cars, but the role will also encompass managerial/organisational elements.
The successful candidate will have significant proven experience working in a professional race workshop on a range of cars. You will expect and deliver a very high level of workmanship and have a keen eye for detail. You will have good ability to motivate yourself and lead a team of mechanics & apprentices, training them where necessary. You will be professional, presentable, polite and reliable with a confident personality.
You will have experience working on a range of race & road cars, be familiar with motorsport technologies and be able to work with engineering information. Furthermore knowledge of engine and gearbox building, suspension & brake system assemblies, car electronics, fault diagnostics, fabrication skills or similar is necessary.
Additionally experience in conversion of road cars into race cars, and some basic engineering background is crucial for a successful candidate.
On a day-to-day basis you will be expected to organise and lead the work in the workshop. You will prepare the facilities and equipment for race weekends.
During race weekends you will be expected to lead a team of mechanics overseeing the smooth operation of the whole team, from set up to the break down, as well as working with engineers & drivers.
You will be expected to accompany cars to the race meetings so weekend/Bank Holiday work will be necessary, along with stays away from home.
Junior Mechanic

This is a challenging hands-on position for a junior mechanic. You will be required to be self driven and motivated, and be responsible for the day to day tasks set by the Senior Mechanic. Although only a Junior role you will still be expected to deliver a high level of workmanship and have a keen eye for detail. Your focus needs to be based on development of your own skills with a can do attitude balanced with the ability to seek advice where relevant and to stop and think to avoid mistakes.
You will be expected to accompany cars to the race meetings so weekend/Bank Holiday work will be necessary, along with stays away from home.
A professional appearance and demeanour is to be maintained at all times.
Fabricator/Welder

This is a temporary to permanent position.
We are looking for a fabricator who has tig/mig experience to a high level. Experience in manufacturing radiators, exhausts, fuel systems, oil tanks etc is essential. Working with Aluminium and varieties of Steel. Must be able to customer face, and understand/translate technical drawings.
Applicants should be able to provide pictures of items previously worked on, or be able to demonstrate work at an interview
Junior .Net Developer

This is a temporary to permanent position.
We are looking for a Junior .Net developer to work in our IT department. Main tasks will be to develop and maintain the company website, as well as working with the eBay API to develop an interface with which to manage the company eBay shop. We have a second project which will require an understanding of RS232 interfacing. This element is not essential providing the successful candidate is willing to learn. An understanding of networks would be desirable.
Applicants should be able to send links to portfolio work, or be able to demonstrate work at an interview
Working time
Hours: Mon-Fri (08:30-17:30 with 60 min lunch breaks)
Weekends: Expected (shows, events and race meetings) Time of in lieu to compensate
Holidays: 28 days per calendar year (including bank holidays)
Minotaur Racing is closed on English Bank holidays (except when covering race days) and over the Christmas and New Year period (typically around 10 days).
