How long does a company have to keep timesheets for?

Afternoon,
As the title really, we have just found out that our manager has been taking allowances(that we were entitled to claim) off our time sheets at various times over the last 6 years.
The problem we face now is that the system we use only allows us to go back 6 months to check & our payslips are itemised weekly for hours worked but monthly for allowances, so we do not know when we were payed the AL and when we were not.
This affects 6 of us on our team but could have ramifications company wide.
We think we are missing nearly 100 payments over this time which works out at over £4,000.
