In 1986, whilst studying on a first year HND in manufacturing engineering, I scored 87% in the employment law module.

In 1986, "Harvey on Industrial Relations and Employment Law" ran to one fat ring binder and you could take it to court with you. Now it has five fat binders, updated every few months, although nowadays I read it online and don't maintain a hard copy anymore.

It's amazing how often work pushing you results in you joining the Union, Although I id smile that within a week of joining Unite there was a piece on the news about them causing problems for the labour party.
