CV writing services
Discussion
Has anyone used one ?
I emailed my CV for a free consultation at getinterviews.com and they came back with a number of comments, to be honest I suspect they come back responses of a similar nature for every cv they see, so they can then justify a charge.
Really just want to get an idea if anyone has had any positive experiences with CV writers or can recommend any

A good CV writing service should cover a number of bases: it should be grounded in proven theory; be outcomes based; cover both behaviours and competencies; meet current best practice; ideally be conducted by someone with up to date recruitment experience, ideally as an employer; be value for money (which is not the same as cheap!); and should cover any personal development issues if any deficiencies are identified during the consultation. And finally, a top-drawer CV is about much more than a template; the wordsmithing and conversion of experiences in to transferable competencies is what you should be looking for.
