employment matters
Discussion
Hi,
Need some urgent help.
Our company have told us they are not making money one person was made redundant using a scoring matrix.
3 people scored in the matrix
My line manager based his scores for all 3 people on emails that we had sent during employment in the company.
One of my mates who was scored on the matrix the line manager chose only 40 emails all negative emails from a period of approx. 2 months of his employment.he had been with the company 5 1/2 years.
The other two of us he chose all positive emails from through out the entire period of our employment ie one of use was with the company 10 years and one of us with the company 12 years. we were rated on communication, flexibility, etc, etc and emails were associated with different criteria
I am concerned for my mate as I belive this was unfair.
is this unfair, could he take a case for unfair dismissal based on this alone?
