Advice please - Interview at large car dealership
Discussion
Hello everyone, I've managed to get an interview with a large dealership group (East Anglia/London)
supplying everything from Honda to VW (but mostly German stuff). Its for group marketing activities.
I've been reading the "Salesperson" thread in the main forum, but thought I would ask here first:
1. That salesperson thread has some pretty strong stereotypes, what's it like for support staff, even harder compared to a "normal" business?
2. Would you suggest anything else than a normal professional attitude i.e. interested in cars, but not "fanatical"?
3. I know nothing about dealer marketing (apart from the stuff I get in the post) are there any fundamental differences compared to normal B2B/B2C processes?
Many thanks

Now you've been short listed, you should be crawling all over the dealership and it's marketing strategy like a ninja on speed. Ring them and ask to speak to the hiring manager and ask him directly what sort of person he is looking for, then be that person! Ask to go in and meet the current marketing lead and spend an hour asking questions. Do that and you will be well prepared. Good luck!

Unfortunately the brand director is protected by a PA, so no luck there. I'm trying to identify other marketing employees in LinkedIn at the moment.Gassing Station | Jobs & Employment Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
