A friend has just been invited for an initial phone interview for a relatively senior role at NATO.

Has anybody been through the NATO interview process before?

They have said the interview will be conducted in both NATO languages (English & French) though I would imagine this would be biased towards his stronger language as the role has asked only for Fundamental skills in the second language?

Would really appreciate any help or insight on this, as it is a dream role for him.

I applied for a jb with NSPA, but then pulled it when i got a better offer.
The one i went for which was B6/A2 grade didnt have the requirement to speak or read French, just that you had to be proficient in one of the NATO languages which luckily, Engleesh, im pretty good at!
Funnily enough i now contract for NATO and i would be wary as from what i see thing move slowly and they are actually quite risk averse which in a mil environment could go against you funnily enough! But thats not to say they are telling troops on patrol to put yellow refelctive vests on at night!
But if its your dream job then go for it.

i run projects into NATO/mod other places we dare not speak of, and have noticed alot of the new roles coming out never really existed in the first place and have been filled with ex thales people, NATO have a had a big shakeup, the work we do with them has slimmed down drastically especially at shape!, biggest boom has been italy for them! its a long process , is your mate already nato sc cleared or cosmic? or does he have straighT DVA clearance?

Thanks for the info so far. I'm not sure on the state of his security clearances, but I think that's all in place due to existing requirements.

The role is at HQ is Brussels, moving to the new HQ site when it opens in 2016
