Mechanic/Technician/Maintenance jobs going - N Yorks/Durham

Hello all.

Can anyone help with a Fitter/Mechanic/Maintenance Technician job going in the North Yorkshire/a County Durham area?
I've been on indeed, job is job, total jobs, etc for the past 2 weeks and must have applied for over 20 jobs.
Still not even an interview.
A little about me -

I am an NVQ Level 3 qualified, time served Technician. I became qualified during my 6+ years in the REME with the British Army.
Since leaving the Army late last year I have worked for Volvo Truck and Bus in Carlisle.
I got married in June and then moved to High Wycombe, as my wife is in the RAF and that was her current posting.
I started working for R and S Recovery Services as a roadside repair/breakdown technician.
My wife was then promoted in her job which has forced a move to North Yorks.

I've just left my job in Bishop Auckland, where I worked as a Shift Maintenance Engineer at a multi-national company that runs large, industrial laundries (think washing machines the size of train carriages).

It wasn't the best of jobs, hence I left, as is the Engineering Manager and also the Senior Engineer. But, if you don't mind working in atrocious conditions, for poor pay (circa £28k), for an awful company, you'll find the job(s) advertised on Demob Job;

I hate not doing anything. The first week off was a novelty, and now i'm pulling my hair out.
It's the lack of interviews that is annoying me!
