Benefits for a 19 year old
Discussion
The benefit of being young, able to work 8-7 6 days a week and still have enough energy to survive off 4 hours a night sleep so can fit in a social life.
At 27 those days are over for me.
In all seriousness. They should get a job. Knock on doors, dont stop knocking until they get a job. Knock on enough doors and someone will answer (all one big methaphore) its all statistics.

According to http://www.entitledto.co.uk/ £57.80 a week - but there are a lot of assumptions made by me.
Not really sure how you expect this to go on here though!

Hello.
What benefits can a 19 year old, who left school at 16 and has never worked or continued in education and still lives at home, claim?
Can the parent he/she lives with claim anything for him/her? They live in private rented.
Thanks.
There are benefit calculators that you have to put a lot of details into by the government. Too many factors for anyone here to be able to tell you. What benefits can a 19 year old, who left school at 16 and has never worked or continued in education and still lives at home, claim?

Get a job, any job is the correct answer though.

Why not get off his arse and go to work instead of taking my tax money to sit on his arse and do nothing all day! What benefits can a 19 year old, who left school at 16 and has never worked or continued in education and still lives at home, claim?

Literally a joke!

I left school at 16 and had never been unemployed, until at the age of 47 I was made redundant. I had a mortgage, bills, and 3 mouths to feed. My outgoings are about £500 per week, I was entitled to £60 per week (taxed) in benefits. What benefits can a 19 year old, who left school at 16 and has never worked or continued in education and still lives at home, claim?

I hope a fit and healthy 19 year old with no outgoings and no intent in doing a days work is entitled to less than me.
