Alt Job to Redundancy Question
Discussion
My job is being redundant and I've been offered a new post as an alternative. Currently I work 8 till 4 but the new post is 8 till 5pm.
I've been told the pay is slightly more than I'm currently on but no figures have been given.
I believe from last time my job was made redundant that I can't be paid less as a result but should they pay at least what my wages would be if I was working the extra hour a day?
Or does the fact I'm getting paid more count?

If it's a suitable alternative role then you need to look at the whole and that includes the job role itself as well as the terms and conditions. They can pay you less. You don't have to accept it. On the basic information here this sounds like you should have a minimum statutory trial period during which time you can leave and still claim the redundancy payment. You may not be eligible for any enhanced redundancy during this period.
