Please upload your cv. After spending ages polishing my cv you then have to fill out a generic set of questions and paragraphs that ask for exactly the same information thats in your cv. Infact in some of them it prefills the section from your cv. Anyone else finding this?

I helped my wife do one the other week for a part time admin position. It was designed to download into word, but then if you typed in the boxes, all the tables and formatting went mental, so I spent 2 hours once we'd got the content, into it, making it actually readable. 4 hours x 2 people to submit one application for a 15 hr a week job. And not even a thank you.

I was filling online applications for months until recently being accepted for a job. I'd say 9/10 times like has already been said the site can't sort out the CV you upload so you have to fill in their template from scratch anyway. The worse ones I find are the ones where they don't ask for your CV, you just have to fill out a 10+ page questionnaire which is normally full of pointless questions.

Faff ain't the word.

I find quite a few of them ask interview type questions and I simply find them lazy.

Mere box ticking in my book.
