How to approach a company?

I am a carer for my daughter, and get carers allowance, but would like to do a little work, to keep my CV looking good, and for my sanity.

I would ideally like to learn a new trade, and would really like to work a couple of days a week, say 9 til 2.

Now, if the school rang, I would need to leave immediately, so this could be a big negative.

I am looking to volunteer, so no wages need paying to me, I also have managerial experience. this could be a big positive.

Long term, I will be looking for a full time job in 3 to 4 years, so a company could benefit long term from helping me out.

As you can see, I am not great with words, so I am unsure how to get in touch with companies, and how to see if we could help each other.

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Look up any charities in your area and go and speak to them.

Sorry, should have said I've tried this line of inquiry.

But the local charities are now full of people on the enforced work program, where they work for benefits.

They even have waiting lists.

Loads of opportunity out there. Notwithstanding your current circumstances; have you considered fostering? Contributes to a civilised society and is well recompensed.
