Coaching courses - talk to me about them

Are there any inexpensive, short introductory courses in coaching? Google results in a seemingly infinite number of coaching courses, so could anybody recommend an intro course? Distance learning or on-line preferred.

Just double checking that you mean performance/leadership coaching? Or might it be for some other discipline?

Either way, I'm exposed to a variety of coaches who have gone through a variety of courses. What marks the best out is not the course but their own levels of experience, self awareness and emotional intelligence. Without those three in spades, the training will not help. Good luck!
