Weekend and occassional evening driving job?

I'm busy 9-5 with a couple of new businesses which are going well but aren't going to pay me any money until at least the early part of next year and so, in the meantime, I am thinking about what I can do to earn some money in the time outside of my 9-5-sh commitments. I can survive without an income but I've always worked hard and don't feel like I deserve things in the meantime if I haven't earnt anything.
I've looked at all sorts of options and quite fancy a driving job, not a taxi driver but perhaps a delivery driver of some sort such as for a supermarket or courier etc. However, most seems to ask for X evenings and weekends, etc. Are they flexible does anyone know or is more a case of 'These are the hours, take it or leave it'?
Finding well paid p/t jobs seems to be quite challenge too!!

If you want evenings only then I used to drive for Pizza Hut although, of course, Weekend evenings are busiest. Use your own car, you get an hourly rate and get paid per delivery. It used to be £1, not sure if that's changed as it was nearly a decade ago but is a decent enough top up and some nights I was walking away with £20 in tips for a 5 or 6 hour shift on top of my wages & delivery payments. Mind you some other nights I made nothing in tips at all but it was always an added bonus, not something I relied on. Of course having a small engined car will make the difference.
and again +1 for the delivery driver. You need to have a reasonable handle on the area (obv) if you choose not to work where you live though importantly consider the food you are delivering and your own tastes as there is little doubt you will not only end up eating a ton of it, but also end up smelling of it quite a bit too.
I delivered for Pizza Hut which had all the benefits of a big corporate - holiday pay, proper insurance etc though it is swings and roundabouts compared to the indies sometimes.
I varied my hours and eventually reduced them to 4-9 on fri and 4-9 on sun which was time I really didn't miss.
However, be prepared to be looked down on a lot by people taking the opportunity because they are such massive w
kers themselves they really don't often get the chance and so won't pass the opportunity to be pretend snobs when they can...
Oh, and be switched on and you won't be mugged (so much)
