just the facts:

- currently in an expat perm. role for a middle eastern energy company [power producer, not OG].
- current hours circa 40/wk. basic pay + housing, health, etc. etc.
- been approached for a role requiring 8wk/2wk rotation with the same company.
- 8wks will see me working all the hours required to get the job done [site based role in overall charge of construction].
- 2wks can be spent anywhere i like.
- i would keep my residency visa but lose all allowances, being paid a single monthly sum.
- i would be given a tailored development plan ending with a senior position [PM/country manager level] if i perform as expected.
- i would have to sell/store all my posessions and live out of a suitcase.
- it would still be a permie role, not contracting. i would retain global health cover but we do not have a pension scheme or any other schemes requiring employer contributions.

all the above considered, what kind of salary uplift would you think is reasonable?

i can elaborate as required, just wondering what the consensus is.

Very difficult question to answer even with the level of detail you have given. So many factors impact that it's often just a 'feel' that can answer it.

In normal terms, without attempting to break it down, I always advise if one is moving roles for improved remuneration, then a 20% rise in 'package' is a good rule of thumb. Good luck!
