Hi all,
I seem to be stuck in a bit of a rut. I work for a good small-ish company, it's in a decent sector (oil and gas) and if I'm honest, it's not too badly paid either.
Thing is, my actual job makes me miserable. It started off well, but I seem to have lost my enthusiasm for it.
I think partly it's that I can't see what the end game is, and partly the workload.
Any ideas to help me get my mojo back?

I had exactly the same feeling a year or two ago. I'd been doing the same job (albeit with different companies) for around 10 years. I lost my interest and got fed up with the daily battle with subcontractors, site management staff and internal politics and general bulls**t.

I changed role and went into consultancy instead. I now do fairly short term commissions and have definitely got my mojo back. I actually now love my job again.

Perhaps a change of role or environment would help you? Assess the reason why you started in the industry in the first place. Maybe look at doing some additional education or courses? Sounds like you need to be challenged really.
