Morning smile

I need a bit of career advice from the powerfully built PH types...

I currently work in 3rd Line IT support doing amongst other things site visits, escalations and project work (server/infrastructure) upgrades for a small managed service provider. money is good (33k) but I'm getting bored frown

biggest upgrade project is 2 servers and 40 users. I want to get more involved in larger projects, clustered virtualisation, SANs and the like for much bigger companies.

Does anyone have any advice on how I could progress? I know I would go from being in a senior role to more junior but that doesn't bother me, is ~35k a reasonable salary to expect for that sort of role for someone with 7years experience?

Basically in fed up supporting users and want to get my teeth into some bigger projects and need a bit of advice

Writing this on phone so excuse typos, will add more when I get home

Thanks smile

Work for a vendor/supplier/integrator as a senior engineer. After you have worked on a few decent projects and backed that up with related exam passes it will lead to product specialist, systems engineer, then consultant, architect etc
