Volkswagen Group - Interview
Discussion
I got a call yesterday and have an interview tomorrow at Volkswagen Group.
I have been advised that it will take 2-2.5hrs, which seems quite long for a 1st interview (that said I have had them go on longer than that) I asked about the format and apparently I have 1hr to put together a 10 minute presentation, I then have to field Q&A for another 10 mins before finally going into a competency based interview.
I have not had an interview where the presentation creation is done on the spot and at 1st interview stage - apparently there is only this one stage and then a decision, which is a good thing as I have had it drag on before.
My question is, has anyone on here been through this and can they offer any pointers as to the likely presention subject matters?
Thanks very much in advance for any help.

A few years ago I had an interview there for a network development position. I was given an hour to analyse a set of dealership accounts and then present my findings. My interview confirmation email had a contact number for HR. If you are uncertain about the subject of the presentation I would be tempted to call HR and ask them if they can give you anymore information.
PS: Best of luck!

Mine took 4 hours, I had to do put together a presentation, had an interview with 1 guy, then another presentation to do, then an interview with another guy. I failed on 'not enough eye contact with both parties' during presentation, and that I had a good idea with one of my presentations which I failed to follow up on. Fail on 2 things and you're out and can't apply for another 12 months! That's even though the guy that would have been my boss saying I would have been ideal for the job...
They can be funny f
kers, I know someone that went for a fleet sales role with Audi and got the job, even though they'd never sold anything let alone fleet before. And a lady that did fleet sales and was mustard at it didn't get the job!

Work them through in your mind and when asked one of the competency questions you can bend one of your pre selected scenarios to suit.
Good luck, interviews keep the mind sharp and the more you do the better you become so take each one as a learning experience so even if you don't get the job you got some free training

Thanks for the replies, I had 90 minutes to assess some company data and then present to 2 interviewers - that went really well and they said they didn't have many questions for me as I had provided proposals to resolve/address all points raised :-) then the CBI which i had prepared for and seemed to go well too.
I had also done them each a bound presentation to take away addressing every point of the job description showing my relevant experience to each point. I had also prepped in advance a 30 second PowerPoint presentation with about 80 pics of Audis to demonstrate some passion for the brand.
I don't find out for about 10 days but can at least feel that if I don't get it, I 100% did everything could.
Fingers crossed
