Company Directors - Food allowance
Discussion
As I understand it, you can claim for food if you stay overnight etc away from home. Ok that’s fine. As much as you like with a receipt. Great.

Reading this am I wrong in thinking you can charge £10 for a meal if you are out the house for 10 hours or more without a receipt.
Say your home is deemed your place of work place, therefor traveling to site is a business trip, you can claim this for up to 2 years at one location.
so, surely you can claim for meals without receipt.
I’ve heard this only being applied to “out of the norm” routine when you’re not at your normal place of work.
So does it apply if you are going to a site for say 6 months, that isn’t your registered place of work? Or not

Here's a link to the scale rates for travelling outside the UK. It can be quite profitable...
