Moving away from Retail?

I'm after some advice on how to move from retail into a job that might not be based around retail.

The back story to this is my partner has been working in retail (clothing) for most of her working life and has been store manager for various companies over the past 10 years or so, but it's getting to a point where she just doesn't have the passion for it any more. Her current company have mucked her about and recently moved her to a new store to try and get it back up to their (and her) standards, but with a lack of other management there has resulted in her going in an hour early and staying late a few days a week just to try and catch up on the back log of work (along with sale prep, stock take etc..)

Basically she wants out and to get into a job that pays similar money and can work Mon - Fri, 9 - 5, as with her current role it's making her unwell and it's affecting our time together, as we don't get to spend any time together over a weekend as she is working.

So my question is what transferable skills has she got that she can switch to a different job where she only works during the week. Some of the things that she has / still does, PCI compliance, H&S, monthly staff meetings, various feedback reports which goes to regional managers and directors, collation of data from other stores to be complied and sent to management, staff training and development, recruitment, payroll and maybe a few other things.

My wife has recently done the same. She worked in a store based HR role for a "northern" based supermarket chain. She had worked with them for 20 odd years and got absolutely nothing back, long hours and low pay.
They were having yet another middle management re-shuffle and love her she had the courage to say enough is enough and got out.
Left without a job to go to (luckily in a position not to have to worry too much), had a couple of months off but is now back in a HR position. In her words she was mad not to have done it ages ago!

Retail has quite a lot of transferable skills especially around the HR softer side and you are under huge pressure in retail to cover all the bases. She says her current job is like being on holiday in comparison with the added benefit of not having to work weekends.

Emphasise her flexibility and fire-fighting skills, if fashion retail is anything like electrical retailing!?

Although I may not be the best for advice, as I went from retail to foster care, so quite a pay cut. But I simply love what I do now! Even the awful times, you know it'll be worth it eventually...
