Project manager looking for something new! Car/Motorcycle

A bit about me. I left college and did an engineering apprenticeship. This went well for a couple of years. I then left this and became a toolmaker for a vacuum forming company. This involved making prototype tooling for cosmetic display and we also ventured into some car parts. Mostly on the induction side of things and engine bay dress up kits. I did this for around 7 years when I was given the opportunity to move into project managing the Vac forming side of the business. Unfortunately the company I was with didn’t seem to give too hoots about my progression and it was very hard to pin them down at the end of my probation period for some feedback and a chat. This left to me leaving with short notice!
Being a practical person who is willing to take on any work, I then went to work for a friend of mine driving bulldozers and diggers etc. This worked out well for a while, then a job came up with another friend setting up a karting team. (I probably should mention that as a hobby, I had been helping a friend out with his stock car racing, doing the fabrication, setting the car up and attending meetings as a mechanic) so I jumped at the chance. This was really good work. We kitted out a artic for 16 driver complete with roll cabs, tire racks I had manufacture, stainless tops on the worktops and all electrics/airlines. I enjoyed the karting work but it was a lot of time away from home when I had just met who has now become the wife.
After 6 months being a mechanic, I then got offered another job local to me building F2 stock cars. I took on the job and this was great. I would be making everything from the chassis up. So wishbone, uprights, axles and control arms etc. Cars would them go off to be painted were it was my job to assemble ready to race when they returned. This would include setting the corner weights, castor, camber etc. I also repaired customer cars that were damaged and set these ready to race. This was enjoyable work, but not guaranteed so it still left me looking!
So after 6 months of this, I then got back into project managing were I have now been for 5 years. This is all in the retail sector. It can be anything from small counter displays, to full store fit including building works and electrics. I put together estimates and liaise with contractors and suppliers making sure project get completed on time and within budget.
What I really want to do now is move away from the retail work and into manufacturing for a motorcycle/car manufacturer. I still enjoy working with my hands and am currently building a Honda CB550 café racer so would also consider work on the practical side of things.
Im based in Leicester so quite local to a lot of car/motorcycle industries.
Any suggestions welcome and appreciated!!

Hi have previous experience at triumph motorcycles and royal enfield both in leicester and have now just moves to a tier 1 automotive supplier as a project manager.
