How to get a second job?

Two questions.
How do you persuade an employer you will stay in for the medium/long term?
What sort of jobs am i realistically likely to get?

Im in my first year of a 4 year apprenticeship.

Id be looking to do 20 hours a week over 2 or 3 days.
A socialable job would be a nice contrast to my normal job (bar work maybe?)

Most second jobs are normally the sort of work that employers are expecting people to only do in the short term (bar work, supermarket shelf stacking) so no need to pretend you want to make a career out of it.
