I currently feel I am working too hard for less money than I should be getting I am working a night shift being told I am a supervisor but getting paid for it via overtime as the boss above believes there is no need for one even tho i work the first 6 hours of my shift in charge of two other staff with no other member of staff in charge.

I currently lift heavy stuff we are expected to lift alone from 40kg to 160kg alone for the whole shift and I am paid roughly 17k a year for this, we currently have a team of 3 to move around 3-400 but has been known to go up to 700 appliances into bays do drivers paperwork and routing , unload the lorry's and put the routes in order.

I feel every night I am running around all night to get this done with out even taking a break and my employer is aware of this yet it has come from above that they wish to take a member of staff off us from next week.

I feel this is pushing me towards a change of job.

anyone have any suggestions on what I can do I am tempted to sit back take my break and let it fail; but this is hard for me as i like to achieve greatness and make things work but i cannot see this working.

I am not really skilled in anything or and I have never had a tittle above ware-houseman but I would like to advance myself or change my job to something different does anyone have any advice or think its worth doing something else , maybe even study am currently 30 years old and want more and I am willing to work for it but have no idea what direction I would like to go in I currently have a mortgage and 2 children but this is not an excuse I just do not no what direction to go in.

because at the moment I feel I am being taken advantage of

If you feel confident enough and fit the job adverts, why not consider applying for the next level up but at another outfit?

You could always suggest that you would like to do the day shift instead where, presumably, there are a lot more staff members and the workload would be less. The member of staff that is being removed - is the job being made redundant or is the staff member being redeployed elsewhere in the business?

Look for a mature apprenticeship. Aerospace, engineering or similar.

Does your company make the products, or just move them? Are there any internal opportunities?
