Workout my hours (overtime vs time off)

So my usual hours are 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday, with a 1 hour lunch.

but due to the nature of our work and crew going to site later on in the day its better if im in the office til 5:30, (extra 30 minutes Mon-thurs this means i can finish 2 hours early on a Friday. Im fine with this.

im not going to hold my boss to this as we are a small company and working a few extra hours doesnt bother me, but this crossed my mind, How does this work with good Friday coming up? I'll be off work but still get paid as im on salary. Il work Mon-Thurs 9-5:30, but have i then worked 2 hours extra for nothing? I can t quite work it out.

Sorry if thats not very clear, hope ive explained enough.

What happens with all the Bank Holiday Mondays you have off?

It works out quite simply. You don't bring it up as it would come across as petty and no boss would listen to that and not think 'seriously?'.

To get it done exactly fairly, you add your bank holiday and annual leave together as hours, then use the hours from the overall figure to cover whatever you get paid for on bank holidays.
Every time a bank holiday falls on a Monday - Thursday more hours would come off to cover the extra 30 mins, less on Fridays.
Don't bother.

Excluding Christmas there are 4 other Bank Holiday Mondays where presumably you are not working the extra 30 mins but finishing 2 hours early on the Friday.
Working next week balances out nicely then doesn't it ?
