Can't even get an interview

I've been reading through some of the excellent threads in both the jobs section and the health matters section - sadly, my situation applies to both forums and deals with lack of success/real job and depression - that said, the latter can be cured by the resolution of the former.

I have a very varied CV with some excellent experience in a very specialist (and small field) with that said, I cannot even secure an interview here in the USA for any positions that I have applied for - both with direct experience and some where I am over qualified for the position.

It's seriously affecting our marriage (understandably) and I'd love to rectify this situation asap.

With that said, are there any kind PHer's that could look over my CV and cover letter for a few positions that I am applying for?

Your help and assistance would be very much appreciated.

Not a cv expert as some on here are so can't help with that.

Are you employed at the moment though? If not, for how long?

Thanks Snobetter - currently I am employed on a part time basis teaching at a community college here - automotive technology if that helps..

When you mentioned health I wondered if it was employment gaps which was flagging up. I'll step aside before the recruitment experts come along, all the best!

That could be the problem GCH... I am having my CV/resume reworked into a US friendly style - hopefully we'll yield some better results.
