Quick couple of question on this...

1. I've been told if I get put on Garden Leave (manager discretion), I'll be forced to take all my accrued Annual Leave (17.5 days) as part of Garden Leave. I can't find anything in my employment handbook or any HR policy document that echoes this. Is this legitimate?

2. If I negotiate a reduced notice period of, say, a week or two (currently 5 weeks) with my manager, will the company still have to pay me my accrued Annual Leave?

1. Yes.
2. As you say, it's a negotiation - it depends on what you negotiate.
