Composite laminator thoughts and advice please

Hi there any thoughts and advice or guidance would be appreciated, been working for the emergency services now for about 10 years and thinking about a change previously worked for a company for just over 10 years as a composite laminator so built up quite a lot of experience and skills within this time frame I was made redundant and couldn't find any work locally so changed direction completely.So in a nut shell should i or shouldn't i ? What is the industry like at present Motorsport,aviation?Any recommendations of who to work for? Would I be able to get a job no experience for 10 years? Any and all feedback welcome especially from those working as a laminator ar present,part of me would love to get involved with a Motorsport team as I do like my Motorsport but am also realistic many thanks neil
